I saw a bunch of forum posts that asked if you had it on a flat surface, or if you had pets, or power settings, or updated your BIOS. Solution- clean the fans and the HEAT SINKS next to the fans. (okay, you can't hear this, but just accept the fact that my laptop was loud) Louder than my desktop with 5 large fans in it blowing. Then I did some double-checking, had a realization, and fixed the issue. I got frustrated with it today and did some searching and it still did not help.
So much noise I told myself I would never buy another Alienware laptop. I have had this laptop for 1 year and it made noise.
